The Winchelsea Festival - family fun & entertainment, country skills, regional food, wine and produce, arts & crafts, and much more - all in aid of Winchelsea's Eastern Reserve sports and recreation Community Hub. 1 day only in November each year!
Last year featured;
Live music from Tiffany Eckhardt and Dave Steel - Tiffany & Dave will perform two sessions, in the morning and mid-afternoon. Relax to a mix of folk, pop, roots and blues while you enjoy a beer or a glass of regional wine; there's a bar, barbeque and local winery stalls nearby.

Woodchopping State Title competition - 375mm Underhand Championship to be contested at the Winchelsea Festival. 16 tons of logs to be chopped into firewood!! Watch these guys devastate their way through these chunky bits of wood.

Sheep shearing demonstrations - including the chance the feel the wool and get up close to the shorn sheep. Touch the sheep as they pass through a "race", you can even have a go at drenching (water only!).

Ute Show with prizes for a variety of categories. See these fabulous icons of country Australia in all their glory.

Ferret Races - see if you can choose the winner as the ferrets race through long tubes. This is the last year for the ferret races as they are 'retiring', so last chance to see the fun of the Ferret Cup!

Sheepdog Demonstrations - marvel at the skills of sheepdogs, as they round up and control a mob of sheep to the handler's direction with just small gestures and the odd whistle.

In the Animal Nursery, kids big and small can pet rabbits, guinea pigs, lambs, piglets, ducks, chooks and the like in the Animal Nursery.

A purpose built pool (filled with recycled or tank water) gives the Geelong Model Boat Club the opportunity to display and navigate their remote control boats. Fast & slow, petrol and steam, there are all sorts of boats to see.

Roving jazz band, Jelly Roll Jazz Trio, will be wandering around the Eastern Reserve with their special music talents, delighting and entertaining everyone.

Country Fire Authority (CFA) and State Emergency Services will be in attendance, with equipment and vehicles on display (kids can sit in a fire truck!). The SES will also perform a demonstration of their rescue skills, for example cutting the roof off a car with the "Jaws of Life".

The growing Winchelsea Creative Arts Network (WeCAN) will put on an Art Display by local artists, many of the works being available for purchase on the day. WeCAN will also run some arty kids activities.

The Winchelsea RSL has a magnificent collection of memorabilia housed in the Eastern Reserve grand-stand rooms - the RSL will be opening their collection for public viewing throughout the day.
